CFHOA Residents-
As we continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in our community, we wanted to provide you with a quick update concerning the CFHOA Pool.
As states and localities ease or lift stay-at-home-orders, board members and community managers are determining when and how to safely open or reopen pools in their home-owner associations.
Associations should follow state and federal orders when considering whether they can and should open the community pool. The real issue is compliance, can associations do it in a way where they comply with federal and states restrictions and follow public health recommendations?
The CDC say there is no evidence that the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 can spread through the water in pools, hot tubs, spas, or water play areas. Proper operation and maintenance (including disinfecting with chlorine and bromine) of these facilities should inactivate the coronavirus in the water.
We must continue to listen to the health experts, as we move forward when dealing with opening the HOA Pool as it is a licensed pool through the IDPH.
We will continue to monitor Covid-19 and provide sensible solutions that balance the Safety and Health of the HOA that face us ahead. Please remember that we should continue to practice social distancing by remaining safe distances away from others as well as take in consideration of others when playing on or at the playground. Please
know that by reopening the HOA Amenities, there still may be a risk of transmission, so use your own judgement when enjoying these amenities.
